When you sign in with Google, we collect:

When you use Balance, we collect and store:

  • Activity entries you create (text, category, time, date, sentiment)
  • AI chat conversations within the app
  • Usage patterns (which features you use, when you log in)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service
  • Process your activity entries through AI for categorization
  • Generate insights and trends based on your data
  • Respond to your questions and provide support
  • Improve and optimize the Service

3. Third-Party Services

Firebase (Google)

We use Firebase for:

  • User authentication
  • Data storage (Firestore)

Anthropic (Claude AI)

Your activity entries are processed through Anthropic's Claude API to:

  • Parse free-form text into structured entries
  • Answer questions about your activity patterns

Important: Anthropic does not use data submitted via API to train their models.

Vercel (Hosting)

The Service is hosted on Vercel. Server logs may be collected for debugging and performance monitoring.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time, which will permanently remove:

  • All your activity entries
  • Your account information
  • Any associated data

Data deletion is permanent and cannot be recovered.

5. Data Security

We implement security measures to protect your data:

  • Firestore security rules ensure you can only access your own data
  • All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
  • Authentication via Google OAuth 2.0
  • No passwords stored (Google handles authentication)

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data at any time through the Service
  • Export your data (contact us for assistance)
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Request corrections to your data
  • Opt out of the Service at any time

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
